R-Wild Horse Ranch  

Location

R Wild Horse Ranch sits about three and a half hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area, forty miles west of Red Bluff on Highway 36. The nearest towns are Beegum and Platina.

From the South

Take Interstate 5 north to Red Bluff and use Exit 650 for Adobe Road. Turn left and cross over the freeway, then continue to Main Street. Turn right and follow the signs for Highway 36 West. Continue west for approximately 36 miles until you reach the ranch’s main security gate.

From the North

Take Interstate 5 to the Bowman Road exit in Cottonwood. Follow Bowman Road west until it ends at Highway 36. Turn right onto Highway 36 West toward Platina and continue for approximately 18 miles. The ranch’s main security gate will be along Highway 36.

A couple of things to know before you head out:

• R Wild Horse Ranch is open to owners and their guests only. All others will not be permitted on the property.

• Fill up before leaving Interstate 5. It's a 75-mile round trip to the ranch and back, and there's nowhere to gas up along the way.
